We are Authentic
Authenticity is central to all of the relationships we develop. We are honest about our product and our capabilities and we know how to say ‘we can’t do that’ so that you can be confident about what we can do. We keep our commitments, even if it means losing out in the short term, because keeping our clients’ trust is far more valuable. Our team is geared heavily to creating amazing product and delivering top service. We are deliberately light on marketing and sales types. In fact, there are no dedicated sales and marketing people at Aluminati at all.

We Deliver Quality over Quantity
We want to deliver the best engagement tools in the world. This means we are not the cheapest platform on the market and we are comfortable with that. We avoid the ‘tick box’ approach to features and prefer to spend time developing rich engaging experiences rather than superficial ones. We want your users to keep coming back. Our customers are typically world leading institutions and have a similar understanding of value versus cost.

We Respect Client Differences
We know everyone likes to think they are unique in some special way. We believe them. Our products are not one-size-fits-all and we strive to ensure our solutions fit your needs. We balance the cost of building entirely bespoke products by designing in plenty of flexibility so our clients receive the best of both worlds: a tailored solution at a reasonable cost.

We Create Thoughtful Product
We hate releasing a product that hasn’t been properly thought through. Will this actually be used? Will the student or alumnus find true value? What’s in it for them? How confusing might this appear? These are questions we constantly ask ourselves and our invaluable Partners rather than quickly releasing a new feature to simply ‘tick the box’. It might win us a sale but it does not win us long term respect.

We Innovate Through Partnership
Rather than blindly guessing what our customers want, we collaborate closely with organisations who sign up to be our Parnters, giving us access to their valuable insight and their communities. For example our eMentoring module was designed in close collaboration with the undergraduate and graduate student presidents of one of our clients. This is why students find it so easy to use. We sometimes have 2 or 3 partners on a single project to ensure it respects differences between organisations – another one of our key values.
